I Almost Forgot.......

So my son kinda got lost on a mountain yesterday.

He decided to go hiking with a friend up to a cave. His mom gave him a walkie-talkie to take so they could communicate. Well, when I went to pick him up, his mom told me he had not responded yet. It had been about 30 minutes since he last talked.

Inside myself I was worried. So I kinda ran up the mountain, to a cave, where his mom said they might be. They weren't there. So I ran across the mountain, while yelling his name. Still no response. I ran almost a mile away from where I had started, so I stopped and turned back. and I continued to run back.

When I got back to his mom, I decided this time to take the walkie up the mountain with me. And at this time, there was still no response from Alex. It had been over an hour. I was exhausted physically. Mentally I was almost there. I had to find him though. So I ran up the mountain again, though this time my legs did not want to move. Fortunately I did make it to the top.

I called on the walkie again at the top, and this time he answered. What a sigh of relief. Yet I couldn't understand a word he was saying. I began trying to guide them towards me. That did not work.

They finally said something I could hear, "they were heading down to the road by where they go shooting". I still had no idea which road, but it was a start. I called up his mom and told her what I heard them say. She sorta knew where that was, so she decided to drive down the road next to the mountain to see if she could see them. While I sat on the mountain trying to figure out where they were.

Now to end the story, she found them. I got off the mountain. Alex and his friend are safe. And I am sore today from running. I have a feeling Alex will be one of those kids that will give me scares like this alot. I'm just glad he is safe.

A bit lazy at the moment....

OK....I still have not done a Warped Tour review. I will soon though. My favorite performance, FYI, was As I Lay Dying. The mosh pits were crazy. And some surprisingly good bands showed their stuff.

I just have a quick joke tonight: What do you call a blonde's skeleton in a closet? Last year's Hide-N-Seek winner.

That's my favorite blonde joke. You better of laughed

First, Art City Days is the local city days here in Springville, Utah. The days contain the usually festivities, like a carnival, parade, music and an ending of fireworks. My family and I usually attend the main events. Though this year, Jake and my sis decided to enter my baby niece, Kezlyn, in the baby contest. And what is so cool is that she took third in her division. Rock On Kezlyn!! Check out their web here. And here is a video of my sis and Kezlyn in the parade.

Pray for my little baby nephew Lucas.....

As I stated in earlier posts, I have a baby nephew who had been in the hospital for over a month. He is now home, and he has been put on a TPN. The little guy is having a hard time right now, and I feel bad for him. Please keep him in your prayers.

You can read more about Lucas on my bro's blog here.

Get better Lucas. We're gonna teach you how to Rock On little buddy.

Here is a tribute video to Lucas.

Camels and a Man = Joke.....

Alright, i finally got some of those necessary posts out of the way. The ones that will help set up the blog. And now I have a few more posts tonight that are of actual importance. First one is a joke. And you better laugh at it!!!

A men is planning a trip to cross the desert. He figures he will be needing a camel. He locates a local camel shop and heads to check some camels out. He spots and odd camel in the back of the store. He asks the owner how much is it for that camel. The owner tells the man that it is a new camel, but its the fastest camel they got in the store. The man said that is perfect.

The owner told the man he needed to take the camel for a test ride first. The man agrees. The owner tells the man, in order to get the camel to go, you just say Whoa. To get it to go faster, you say Whoa Whoa. And to get it to go faster than imaginable, you say Whoooaaaah! And as the owner was about to tell him that you say Amen to stop, the guy had already rushed out with the camel.

So the guy says Whoa, and the camel started up. The camel was faster than the guy had thought. Then the guy said Whoa Whoa. And now the camel was going really fast. This guy was rather amused. He didn't think a camel could travel that fast.

But the guy was not paying attention to what was ahead of him. He was headed straight for a cliff. The man panicked and started saying a prayer. Just as the man said Amen, the camel stopped right at the edge of the cliff. The man looked over the edge, and with awe, he said Whoooaaaah!!

I thought it was funny.

Another Riddle.....

I wanna see how many people can get this riddle answered right!!

One night 3 men were driving down the highway in the rain. Suddenly their car breaks down and they have to pull to the side of the road. Luckily for them there is a hotel near by. They head inside the hotel and over to the front desk. They ask the clerk how much it would be for the 3 men to stay in a room for the night. The clerk told the men that it would be a total of $30. That was perfect for the men because it split 3 ways evenly. They each paid the clerk $10 which made a total of $30. The men then went up to the room for the night.

After the men left, the clerk realized that he had made a mistake. There was a special tonight and the room was only $25. The clerk called over the bellboy and handed him a 5 $1 bills. He told the bellboy to bring it to the 3 men and give the money back to them. As the bellboy headed up to the men's room, he noticed $5 would not split very evenly. He decided to keep $2 for himself and to give each man $1 bill. The bellboy proceeded to do that.

Now for the tricky part. Each man got $1 back, right? That means they each paid $9. That is a total of $27. Remember that. Now the bellboy kept $2, right? Add that to the total the men paid and you get a total of $29. Where is the other $1? They did pay $30 original for the room, right?

Hmmmmm....I want to see someone figure this out:)

About this completely awesome blog......

Alright, basically I am doing this blog for fun. Nothing more than that. It will sometimes make absolutely no sense. And it will probably never be too serious. In the future it will have reviews of things in me and my son's life. And updates of my family events. There may be riddles, puzzles or, if suggested, helpful posts they may answer readers questions. Anything questions from life to blogs, resources to what-the-heck-is-wrong-with-you questions.

My layout is basically a customed minima stretch layout with a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. Leave any questions or comments and I will post answers or How-To's. Check out these Nightmare Pics while you're here. Plus you should click around the site a little bit. There is links in words and pics that will take you all over the web.

Rock on lil bro!!! I'll post the results as soon as I get them. For now enjoy some pics. (Keep in mind he is the only swimmer in the fam. The rest of us liked to kick balls)

And here are some pics of my son, sister, bro-in-law, niece, and I playing frisbee at a park. And wow, it was so stinkin hot. I sweated like turtle-on-the-sun. I dont ever sweat. And for those that think my son is cute, just remember I'm his dad:)

Riddle Me This and Riddle Me That.............

Today I have a riddle to test how smart the readers are of these blogs. Careful, its a 2-part riddle.

1st Part: You are a farmer with 36 heads of cattle. A disease spreads through the heard (No, not Mad Cow disease). All but 9 cows die. How many cows do you have left?

2nd Part: You are WRONG!! You have 9 cows left. All BUT 9 cows die. I bet you feel really dumb now. That makes me the smart one. So now i need you to sing the Homer Simpson "I Am So Smart" song or you will be banned from this blog. And please video record your singing, as proof. Then submit them to imanidiot@runningforpresident.com.

My nephew Lucas is out of the hospital. He just recently had a blood transfusion but everything went well. You can find out more by clicking on my bro's blog link.

Why do people say TRIANTULA!! Its TARANTULA u freaks!!!

Can we say Tarantula? My son wanted one so we got one. And it is so AWESOME!! I finally knew I had to get one when my 7 year-old son, Alex, held it. A 7-year old?!?! Of course I held it too 'cause i'm tough. In short, tarantulas rock, so every household should get one as a pet, so there can be an army of 8-legged creatures(not 3-legged like a triantula).

Oh, and i'm selling my big fish. 2 8-inch red-bellied pacus and 1 7-inch albino oscar. They are just too stinkin big! Plus they eat too much. (And they splash water on me)

7 days til Warped Tour. ROCK ON!!!
